LEAGUE INFORMATION

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP LITTLE LEAGUE

Boys and girls ages 4 to 17 who reside in Manchester, Whiting and Lakehurst are eligible to register. Baseball participants play in a division based on league age, which is determined by how old you will be on April 30, 2013:

T-Ball, ages 4-6 (age 6 with 1 year in T-Ball may request Coach Pitch);

Coach Pitch, ages 6-8 (age 8 with 1 year in Coach Pitch may request Minors);

Minors, ages 8-11;

Majors, ages 9-12;

Juniors, ages 13-14;

Seniors, ages 15-17.

Girl’s softball league age is determined by how old you will be on Dec. 31, 2012. Girls who turn 8 by that date may join the Girls Softball program and play Majors, ages 9-12, or Juniors, ages 13-16.

Although all registrants are placed on a team, ages 9 and up must try out, except for returning Major and Senior league players. Players will be notified in February as to the date and time of their tryout. Ages 8 and under do not tryout and will be notified of team assignment in late February.

NOTE: Participation in Manchester Little League obligates each player in a family to fulfill their team’s responsibility in our one mandatory Pick 3 raffle fundraiser.

$100 FAMILY WORK BOND

While registration fees remained the same, unfortunately the league deemed it necessary to raise the work bond fee. We still have one of the lowest work bond requirements in the District! It is our hope that this higher, refundable bond will encourage more parental participation to keep Manchester one of the best Little League complexes in the state. We really need the help of parents, especially in July when we host over 65 All-Star games. Having All-Star games and tournaments at our complex are huge fund raising opportunities for our league. Your work bond obligations are 2 Saturday morning cleanups and 2 All-Star games per family. This amounts to only 8-10 hours of your time over a 5 month baseball/softball season.  At the mandatory Parents meeting in March, you will receive your work bond dates. Once each family completes their work bond obligations, the league will then refund your $100 work bond during the month of August.  Thank you.

Manchester Little League has gone to an ALL online registration system provided by Pointstreak Sports Technologies. Our web site (www.manchesterbaseball.net) is the same, but has a completely new look and feel! Every Little League participant must register online. You then choose to pay by cash, check or credit card (Visa & MasterCard only). There are no additional fees to do this UNLESS you choose the installment payment plan offered, if you use your Visa or MasterCard. You can charge the full amount or, for a small $15 surcharge, you can choose the installment plan where your fees are spread out between the time you register and the date of final payment due, May 18th. So the earlier you register, the smaller your initial payment, as well as your automatic monthly payments. If you choose to pay by cash or check, first you register online. Then you must either mail in your payment or pay in person at one of the in person registration dates. With this new system, we can see that you are registered and just need to pay. There is no automatic installment plan for cash or check. But you can make partial payments by mail or in person at any of the registration dates, as long as you are paid in full by the last in person registration date, February 2, 2013! For those without computer access, you must come to one of the in person dates and we will register you online. Register early! Register NOW and pay later, pay in full, or use the new credit card installment plan. There is no reason to wait. However, you must register before Dec. 31, 2012 to avoid the $40 late fee per child.
