Registration Information

2019 Manchester Township Little League Season Registration Information


ELIGIBILITY:
BOYS and GIRLS AGES 4-16 living in Manchester, Lakehurst, Whiting, and Lakewood, are eligible.  If they turn 4 by August 31, 2019, they can begin playing this spring.  If they were born before September 1, 2002, they are ineligible.  League age (how old they are on August 31, 2019)  determines the division of play:
Tee Ball (4-6)
Coach Pitch (6-8)
Minors (7-11)
Majors (10-12)
Juniors (13-14)
Seniors. (15-16)

GIRLS SOFTBALL is available for girls who are age 7 - 14 by Dec. 31, 2018. Girls may choose to play softball instead of baseball.
That date determines your Softball League age and your division of play:
SB  Minors (7-10)
SB Majors (9-12)
SB Juniors / Seniors (13-16)


FEES:
2019 fees consist of BOTH a per player registration fee ($200 or $225 depending on division), 
plus a $100 grounds maintenance fee, one per family!
(Gone is the mandatory work bond requirements!!!)

TBall has a per player registration of $200 per child, plus a $100 grounds fee, one per family.
All other divisions have a per player registration fee of $225 per child, plus $100 grounds fee.

There is a $550 family cap, excluding any installment plan fees if you decide to use it!

The player registration fees include the purchase of 3- $25 fundraiser raffle tickets which you can sell or keep. Sell your 3 raffle tickets to get back $75 of this fee! With the family cap on player registration fees, the most tickets any one family will get is 6 (2 registrations = 6 tickets). Click here for details on how the Pick 3 Raffle works.  PICK 3 RAFFLE

There is a $25 late fee for each registration after February 1, 2019, provided we have openings!


HOW TO REGISTER
Pressing the “REGISTER” button above, below, which will take you to the Dick’s Blue Sombrero registration site. First-time registrants (everyone's first time for 2019) must create a Dick’s Blue Sombrero account and then you can add all family members and that will carry over from year to year. In future years, returning registrants will log in to your account, update any contact info, add any new children, register and checkout with payment choice.

PAY with VISA OR MASTERCARD and INSTALLMENT PLAN
With Visa or Mastercard you can pay in full or take advantage of the convenient installment plan ($8 added fee per player). If you choose the installment plan, you will be charged immediately $105 as the initial down payment  ($100 Grounds fee, plus $5 of your player registration fee).  The rest of you player registration fees will then be automatically spread out over 8 months, from Jan. 1 through Aug. 1, 2019.  The $8 per player added fee is broken down to $1 per month.  The earlier you register, the smaller your initial down payments will be!  The monthly payment will be charged to your card every 1st of the month starting in January and ending on August 1st, 2019.  Your initial down payment will include any missed monthly payments. With that in mind, we have made the January 1st payment due of just $11 per player ($10 player fee plus, $1 added installment fee).  Therefore your last payment is a little more. The added benefit to this is a lower payment right after the holidays and a higher payment in the summer.

NOTE: The new company charges a per player installment fee.  So we made the per player fee $8. Most people using the installment plan last year paid a $15 fee for 1 child.  Those people now pay just $8.  The families with 2 kids paid $15, now they pay $16. Unfortunately, those with 3 or more kids pay $8 more for every child after 2.  But they are still benefiting with the family cap and it is a good deal to spread fees over an 8 month period for just a $1 a month added fee.


PAY with CASH or CHECK
If you choose to pay by cash or check, you complete the registration process without any immediate payment.  You then bring the invoice along with cash or check, payable to Manchester Little League, to any of the 3 in-person registration dates listed below:

Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 @ 6-7 PM  and  Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018 @  10-11 AM

Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 @ 6-7 PM   and  Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 @ 10-11 AM

Friday, Feb 15, 2019 @ 6-7 PM and Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 @ 10-11 AM


ALL cash and check registrants must be paid in full by February 16, 2019, or your registration will be canceled!

REFUND POLICY:

BEFORE TRYOUTS: Full refund of both the player registration fee and the grounds fee is given to anyone who wishes to withdraw.

AFTER TRYOUTS and BEFORE OPENING DAY: (this period is usually all of March): All tryout divisions: 100% of grounds fee and 50 % of your registration fees.  (Tryouts and being drafted, affects the integrity of the draft process). TBall and Coach Pitch: 100% of your grounds fee and 75% of your registration fees.

AFTER OPENING DAY, but before May 1: 50% of your grounds fee and zero registration fees

AFTER MAY 1: Zero refunds
