16th ANNUAL Mason Invitational Tournament (2024)

Manchester Little League is planning our 16TH ANNUAL Little League All-Star Tournament that we will be hosting in honor of our past D18 Member and MLL VP Mr. Gary Mason. This Baseball Tournament is named “The M.I.T - The Mason Invitational Tournament".
 
Now that each league has selected their District All-Star teams, it's time to give many of your remaining league players an opportunity to experience tournament type baseball at a top notch Little League complex. Yes, that's right, the majority of the players in each of our league's do not ever make an All-Star team.  How about we each take a step in changing that and enter teams in the MIT for those players that mis the cut on the District team.  It's not about winning, but more importantly giving as many players the experience of continuing the play ball with their league friends in a fun-filled baseball tournament supported by LL.
 
Once again this year, we will run ‘4’ simultaneous MIT tournaments at our Manchester Little League complex. This gives each Little League in Ocean & Monmouth counties and surrounding towns to send more than just one All-Star team to our summer Little League Tournament.  The more teams you send to our tournament, the bigger registration discount you get, but more importantly…you are giving additional players and parents from your league an opportunity to experience playing fun-filled tournament type baseball at a magnificent Little League complex. 

This year we are offering each league to send Four All-Star Tournament teams from each of your four different divisions.
T-Ball Division (4-6 yr. old’s) – non-competitive, fun & Free!
Minor League Division Tournament (7-11 yr. old’s) – player pitch
Major League Division Tournament (10-12 yr. old’s)
Big Field Division Wood Bat Tournament (13-16 yr. old’s).
(Any player regardless if they made a District All-Star team can play in the Big FIeld Wood Bat MIT Tournament)

These MIT tournaments are for Little League players who were NOT selected to another All-Star team this season. Players can be any league age as long as they played in their respective divisions in their current little league.
 
We are trying to get a league headcount in terms of participation for each division.  Detailed rules of the tournament and schedules will be passed out at the MIT coaches meeting in June.  What we would like now is a quick response to this email stating whether your league may be interested in participating in any one of our four MIT tournaments (T-ball, Minors-46x60, Majors-46x60 and Big Field-60x90).
 
The MIT Tournament starts on July 7th with our yearly MIT player Competitions for Home Run Derby, Speed and Throwing Competitions for all of the players on every MIT team.  Trophies will be presented that night to all 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in each competition for all divisions.   Please reply as soon as possible if your league will be participating in this wonderful and fulfilled Little League sanctioned tournament.

2024 Tournament Information:
Dates July 12th -27th
• T-Ball Division Tournament (4-6 yr. old’s) – non-competitive, fun & FREE!
• MINORS Tournament on 46x60 field (7-11 yr. old’s)
• MAJORS Tournament on 46x60 field (9-12 yr. old's)
• BIG FIELD WOOD BAT Tournament on 60x90 field (13-16 yr. old's)


Competitions Friday July 12th @ 6pm (Home Run Derby / Speed & Agility / Throwing Competitions)
•All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 4 games in the tournament.
•All players selected to your MIT team cannot have been selected to any District All-Star team.
•All fields are top-notch & each team will have access to our 11,000 sq. ft. indoor facility.
•Premium trophies & awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place plus the competition winners and runners-up.
